The Transplant "Club"

Receiving an organ is often a life changing event. Some recipients feel euphoric about their new lease on life and dedicate their lives to great things! Some feel almost guilty about receiving the gift knowing that someone had to die for them to live.

As a recipient, you may become interested in knowing who gave you this gift - or you may not. One thing is guaranteed, you will not be the same person - receiving an organ changes how you view your life.

IOPO helps you through these changes by inviting you to participate in events where, as a recipient, you can meet other recipients - and donor families - and get a better handle on how you feel about your new lease on life. You will be amazed to learn how grateful donor families are to learn that you received the gift of life - it comforts them!
